General Admission Requirements

WASSCE Applicants

Applicants must obtain Credit Passes (A1 – C6) in six (6) subjects comprising:

  • Three (3) Core Subjects:
    • English Language
    • Core Mathematics
    • Integrated Science or Social Studies
  • Three (3) Elective Subjects relevant to the chosen programme.

SSSCE Applicants

Applicants must obtain Credit Passes (A – D) in six (6) subjects comprising:

  • Three (3) Core Subjects:
    • English Language
    • Core Mathematics
    • Integrated Science or Social Studies
  • Three (3) Elective Subjects relevant to the chosen programme.

Awaiting Results

Candidates awaiting their WASSCE or TVET Certificate II results may also apply.

GCE Advanced Level Applicants

  • Passes in three (3) subjects, with at least one pass at Grade D or better.
  • Credit passes in five (5) GCE Ordinary Level subjects including:
    • English Language
    • Mathematics
    • Science or Social Science Subject

TVET Applicants

Applicants must possess relevant TVET qualifications including passes in the prescribed core and trade-related subjects as approved by the Colleges of Education admission policy.

Foreign Applicants

All foreign qualifications must be submitted to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for determination of equivalence and eligibility for admission.
